The Cass County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal fire on Monday.
The department says deputies responded to the home in the 55,000 block of Twin Lake Road in Wayne Township around 8:30 a.m. on a report of a mobile home fire.
When fire crews put out the flames, a man was found dead inside. His name and age have not been released, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Assisting agencies included the Central Cass Fire Department, the Wayne Fire Department, and the Dowagiac Fire Department.
