Peggy Marie Huebner, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at 1:15 AM on April 14, 2025, at Hanson House. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and creativity that touched every life she encountered. Peggy was born on April 13, 1933, in McAllister, Montana, to Roy and Edith Fowler. She carried with her the strength, warmth, and values of her Montana roots throughout her life.

She was the cherished wife of Gerald Franklin Huebner, her lifelong partner in love and in life. Together they would have celebrated 70 years of marriage on May 20th. They built a family filled with warmth , kindness and joy. Peggy had a heart that welcomed all-especially her grandchildren and he many pets that crossed her path. Her love for animals was as unwavering as her devotion to her family. A true artist at heart, Peggy found joy in crafts and expressed herself through her creative talents. Her sense of humor was unmatched-quick sharp, and ever-present, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone around her, even in her final days.

She is survived by her loving children: Mark Huebner and his wife Jane, Tonda Desenzio and her husband Scott Desenzio, Erik Huebner and his wife Gina, and Amy Huebner and her husband Steve Lien. Peggy was a proud and adoring grandmother to Jenna Drake, Ryan Huebner, Allison Hedgepeth, Katie Lefon, Jeremy Huebner, and Jamie Schairbaum-as well as 15 of great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her father Roy Fowler, mother Edith Fowler, brother Dr. Don Fowler, grandson Mathew Craig, and her son-in -law Scott DeSenzio.

Peggy’s presence will be deeply missed, but the warmth, humor and love she gave so freely will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Peggy’s name to Hanson Hospice center whose compassionate care helped guide her gently and lovingly through her final days.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan.
