Three months into his new role, Michigan Republican House Speaker Matt Hall has provided on the status of bi-partisanship in Lansing.

With Lansing lawmakers on break until the middle of next month, Republican House Speaker Matt Hall tried to fill the void Wednesday, meeting for an hour with reporters. Once again, he criticized members of the Democratically controlled Senate.

Unlike the Senate, which is doing nothing except for suing me and attacking Trump, we’re doing decisive things,” Hall said. “Education reform, fixing our local roads, reversing the Democrat income tax hike.”

In the meantime, Senate Democrats have filed a lawsuit against Hall over bills passed in the previous legislative session that the Republican leader has refused to pass on to Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Against that backdrop, Lansing lawmakers are scheduled to return to full session on the 15th of April.
