Are you looking for a job? Some who are searching are hitting road blocks.
Of more than 900 U.S. workers surveyed by staffing firm Robert Half, many are having trouble finding a role that aligns with their skills. Some have trouble preparing and being successful in an interview. Still others are being ghosted, according to Robert Half’s Shannon Edlinger.
“A lot of our survey findings found that 22% of folks are being ghosted by employers that they submit their resume to after an initial conversation,” Edlinger said. “So they’ve already spoken and interviewed with these organizations and then they simply just never hear back.”
Edlinger suggests trying to contact someone with the company but if they continue to ghost you, they may not be a company you want to work for.
Edlinger adds hiring is measured now as there’s economic and policy uncertainty.
