Norma Metzger, 97, formerly of Buchanan, passed away at Brentwood Senior Living under hospice care. Special thanks to all staff of Brentwood, especially Teresa & Cheyenne & Hospice, especially, Amber & DeDee’s loving touch.
She was reunited in death with her parents, Glenn & Mae (Boyer) Vergon; husband of 70 years, Donald “Sonny” Metzger; brothers, Elwood (Betty) Vergon, Charles (Agnes) Vergon and Fred Vergon; sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Maurice) Bright and Dally (Robert) Metzger.
Survived by brother, Doyle (Judy) Vergon; sister-in-law, Joy Vergon; brother-in-law, Robert “Bert” Metzger; son, Mark (Marci) Metzger; daughter, Marcia (Peter) Gunzelman; grandchildren, Austin Gunzelman, Mae (Daniel) Villalobos & great-grandchildren, Leo & Lucie Villalobos; son, Matt Metzger & Grandson, Micah Metzger; daughter, Mindy (David) Bonewitz & grandsons, Nathan & Luke Bonewitz; many loving nieces, nephews & special friends. She loved all of you like one of her own.
A Celebration of life gathering for Don & Norma Metzger will begin at 11 am on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Buchanan American Legion, 403 E. Front St., Buchanan. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, Buchanan, The Buchanan Area Senior Center, Fernwood Botanical Garden or a charity of your choice.
