Automakers brace for tariffs

We’re just over a week away from the latest tariffs deadline, and carmakers are bracing themselves.

We’re seeing parts and vehicles crossing the border in advance of tariffs along with outreach from car makers and suppliers to the Trump administration. Bill Ford has been working to get his message out.

We’re working very closely with the administration and we’ve made our points very strongly and we’ve made our point of view very clear,” Ford said. “And look, we share his goal of strengthening the domestic auto industry, it’s just that we’ve got to make sure we get there in the right fashion.”
