The city of South Haven is advising people to temporarily avoid the North and South piers due to gate replacement happening this week.
From the city announcement Tuesday morning:
“Please be advised that the week of March 10th, contractors will be installing new pier gates. For your safety, we kindly ask that you avoid the area of North and South Piers during this time. We are committed to ensuring the safety of both our beaches and visitors, and this temporary closure is necessary for the ongoing improvements.”
No specific date was provided for when the work might be finished. City officials apologize for any inconvenience and appreciates the public’s cooperation as they work to enhance the safety and quality of the piers and beaches.
