A Bainbridge Township man is dead following a two-vehicle crash on Monday morning.
The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department says the crash happened around 8:45 a.m. on North Branch Road near Bainbridge Center Road in Bainbridge Township.
Arriving deputies learned a Ford Explorer had been eastbound on North Branch when it rear-ended a flatbed crane truck that was parked in the road. The flat bed truck was loaded with concrete septic equipment and was making a delivery.
The driver of the Explorer, a 41-year-old from Bainbridge Township, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt. Police say it doesn’t appear that alcohol or drugs were involved.
The crash remains under investigation.
