Subaru and Toyota stand out in the latest Consumer Reports list of the top ten vehicles.
Toyota’s RAV4, Camry, and Highlander hybrid, along with Subaru’s Forester, the Ford Maverick, and Tesla Model Y are among the standouts. Alex Knizek of Consumer Reports says they were targeting vehicles that people can actually afford.
“You don’t have to spend nearly $50,000 to get a good car,” Knizek said. “I know there are a lot of options out there. It can be overwhelming as much as it is exciting to buy a new car.”
The list is compiled with a combination of Consumer Reports road testing and a reader survey.
Many Detroit Big Three vehicles were pulled down by lower reliability scores.
