Michigan Congresswoman Debbie Dingell is among those raising an alarm about Elon Musk’s level of access to sensitive information in the U.S. government.

Dingell told MSNBC on Wednesday Musk has been digging into federal payment systems, the personal information of taxpayers, and even classified information.

He has access to all of the information at the Office of Personal Management,” Dingell said. “Every government worker, their Social Security numbers, their address. Now he has the payment systems, every Social Security number, what taxes people have earned, and their healthcare information. He has been there for weeks getting Medicare, etc.”

Dingell says we can expect litigation and legislation to come as a result of Musk’s involvement.

As Musk prepares to shut down USAID, Dingell says the founding fathers intended for there to be three branches of government, and not one unfettered executive. She and other Democrats have slammed Elon Musk’s level of influence said President Donald Trump can’t unilaterally decide to shut down federal departments created and funded by Congress.
