Set to open in February is the new Chick-Fil-A in Benton Township.
The Chick-Fil-A located at 1917 Pipestone Road off I-94 exit 29 is now hiring and seeking out applicants on its Facebook page. The restaurant has not specified its exact opening date, but says February.
The Chick-Fil-A is located on the former site of a Steak ‘n Shake and the developers purchased adjacent property owned by Brookfield Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to allow for more parking to accommodate the expected long lines of cars that will constantly be wrapped around the building.
The Benton Township Zoning Board of Appeals in July approved a signage variance for the establishment so it could erect a 60-foot sign that will be visible from I-94. The maximum sign height allowed by the township’s ordinance is 40 feet.
Chick-Fil-A developers told us in 2023 they selected Benton Harbor for a new location because they expect the establishment to do well there.
The Benton Township Chick-Fil-A comes as part of a general expansion the chain is doing in Michigan, adding 25 to 30 new locations throughout the state. It’s also planning one in Michigan City, Indiana.
