The South Haven Community is invited to meet the new police chief next month.
Chief Kevin Swope, who was sworn in earlier this month, has become familiar with the unique character of South Haven and aims to enhance the existing strengths of the community for future success.
“I’ve been on plenty of tours of the city and met multiple people and everyone seems very interested and invested in the police department,” Swope says. “I find that to be awesome and the people have been super accepting of me coming into the city.”
On Monday, February 10, from 5 to 6:30 PM, the South Haven Police Department and Chief Swope, is inviting the public to ask questions, hear your concerns and visions for the future of South Haven.
“It’s just a good opportunity for me to be able to reach out to the community and have the community reach out to me, get to know each other, and figure out some of the concerns that citizens may have, Swope says. “I also want to show what some of our plans are for the police department, whether it’s involving community trust or just our operations, enforcement.”
The event will be held at the Police and Fire Complex located at 90 Blue Star Highway.
