Lake Michigan College offering free ultrasounds

The Lake Michigan College Sonography Department is offering free 3D and 4D ultrasounds to the community.

LMC says the opportunity is open to all expectant parents, providing a chance for them to see their babies using the latest ultrasound technology. LMC Diagnostic Medical Sonography students, under supervision, will use prenatal ultrasound machines to capture multiple pictures of the babies.

LMC says the ultrasounds are for educational purposes only and do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, but they are available for any parents excited to see their coming arrivals.

To be eligible, the parent must be at least 21 to 36 weeks pregnant at the time of the appointment and have already had the first fetal anatomy scan with an OB/GYN.

The ultrasound appointments will be available on set days in February, March, and April. All appointments will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
