Congressman Tim Walberg is already giving high marks to President Donald Trump, just days after Trump took office for his second term.
Trump issued executive orders Tuesday that put all federal DEI workers on leave, effective the end of business on Wednesday.
In a statement, Walberg praised the move, saying, “For too long, social justice warriors crusaded to mandate DEI in every corner of America.” Walberg goes on to say “DEI devotees” dismissed merit, skills, and ability while pushing for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Walberg says, “Americans have felt the negative effects” as education budgets became bloated and students were told what to think.
Walberg commended Trump for “dismantling DEI,” saying the new president is putting America on a path to a stronger future.
