State Senator, and gubernatorial candidate, Aric Nesbitt wasn’t impressed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Road Ahead address on Wednesday.

Nesbitt says the speech calling for bipartisan action to strengthen the economy was hiding some truths he considers evident.

Governor Whitmer just gave another rosy speech asking you not to believe your own eyes, to not believe that our roads are crumbling, our schools are failing, and our families are falling further and further behind, but by every metric they are, and by every metric Democrat-controlled Lansing was a disaster,” Nesbitt said.

Nesbitt said working with the new Republican majority in the Michigan House, he’ll seek to “clean up this mess.” Democrats still control the Michigan Senate.

Nesbitt’s full reaction video to Whitmer’s speech can be seen below.
