The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the New Buffalo Township Fire Department, is organizing a pancake breakfast fundraiser this weekend.
Sheriff Chuck Heit tells us that for the second consecutive year, they will be hosting this event to benefit the a good cause.
“As you know, we’re getting close to the polar plunge, which benefits the Special Olympics,” Heit says. It’s just a little plug for a fundraiser for both teams together. We do it together. We’ve done it for a couple years now. We’ll promise great pancakes for a great cause.”
The pancake breakfast will take place from 9 AM to 12 PM at the New Buffalo Public Safety building. Previously, this fundraiser has successfully raised over $2,000 and served more than 700 attendees.
