Are you getting a holiday bonus?

96% of managers surveyed by staffing firm Robert Half say they’ll give a year-end bonus. Company assistant vice president Shannon Edlinger says bonuses are important.

Bonuses and raises in salary or hourly rate are key to retention and also hiring strategies,” Edlinger said. “Keep in mind, when you’re hiring, you’re beating out current salaries for top talent. So oftentimes, you do have to go above and beyond possibly what was budgeted initially for this role.”

Edlinger says 62% are getting higher bonuses than last year, 28% the same, and 5% less.
