South Haven residents and community members are invited to celebrate the holiday season with the annual holiday music tradition.

On Sunday, December 22, the South Haven Performance Series will host a concert featuring Vox GR, a national choral ensemble made up of talented singers from Michigan.

Under the direction of Christopher Mason, the ensemble will present “VOXmas 2024,” which he tells us includes a variety of seasonal music from sacred to secular styles.

“I’m expecting for people to have a musical experience that is engaging for their mind,” Mason says. “There’s going to be music that’s so interesting to listen to, great arrangements of carols that they might know, and then be kind of surprised and excited by the way that the music flows from one to the next.”

South Haven Performance Series board member Robert Linstrom tells us it’s a remarkable opportunity to reorient themselves to the Christmas season.

“The wonderful opportunities paused in the beauty of the season, in the wonderful of the sanctuary at Peace Lutheran Church, and to receive what will be both a beautiful spiritual gift but also great fun,” Linstrom says. “Some of the great pop songs of the season will be among the concert repertoire.

The free concert will be held 4 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in South Haven.
