Gary Lee Hunt, 63, of Bridgman, passed away, Friday, November 29, 2024 at his home.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Berrien Center Bible Church, 8830 M-140 in Berrien Center, Michigan. Memorial donations in Gary’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, St. Joseph. Gary was born June 5, 1961 in Benton Harbor to Jerry & Barbara Hunt. He graduated from St. Joseph High School, Class of 1980. On March 23, 1981, he married his soul mate, Loretta Jo Thompson in St. Joseph. Gary was employed for many years at Edgewater Automation in St. Joseph. Gary was known for his wittiness and his keen sense of humor. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, nature in the great outdoors, landscaping at his home, riding his e-bike, and most of all, the time spent with his family and many friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gary is survived by his parents-Jerry & Barbara Hunt of St. Joseph; his children-Nicolle (Jon) Styf of Stevensville & Adam (Kasey) Hunt of Grand Rapids; his grandson Harrison Walker Hunt; his sister Lori (Ron) Zwar of St. Joseph; and numerous extended family members. Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife Loretta on January 16, 2019 and by his brother Dean Hunt on December 25, 2022.
