Richard (Dick) Albert Petruschke 86, peacefully passed away on November 15.2024, at his home in Roswell, GA. following an extended illness.
Richard was born May 11, 1938 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Dorothy (Schaffer) Petruschke. Other survivors include daughter, Disa Mouat, son, Darren (Pamela) Petruschke and daughter Dawn Davis (Steven Ward) along with Grandsons, Aiden Mouat, Asher Mouat and great grandson Campbell Mouat. He is also survived by sister Karen Petruschke Schiming and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Elsie (Keding) Petruschke, sister Suzanne (Newman) Smith and brother Fredrick Petruschke.
On graduation from Benton Harbor High School, Richard entered the Military. When his term was up he continued to serve in the Reserves of the Special Forces Division of the Army for 23 years. Richard worked as a Journeyman Tooling Engineer and Project Manager in several different tool and die shops located in Michigan, Ohio and Florida, until he retired and moved to Georgia.
Richard had many hobbies and skills and he was willing to share his expertise with friends and loved ones. Richard was a great source of advice in many different categories and will certainly be missed for his problem solving ability.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Michigan at a later date.
