A second suspect is facing charges related to a fatal shooting in Eau Claire this month.
The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department says 36-year-old Chad Medlin of Benton Harbor was shot and killed following an altercation at a bar in downtown Eau Claire on November 2.
Charged with murder in the shooting was 47-year-old Rigoberto Gomez of Eau Claire. He was arraigned on November 4 with bond set at $1 million.
Now the sheriff’s department says 43-year-old Elizabeth Harper of Stevensville is also charged in the incident. She was arraigned in Berrien County Fifth District Court this week. Police say Harper is facing one count of accessory after the fact and one count of tampering with evidence. Harper is currently lodged at the Berrien County Jail with bond set at $25,000.
The sheriff’s department has released no further details on her involvement in the shooting.
