There’s a new effort underway to push Michigan-made gifts this holiday season.

Buy Michigan Now has crafted a list of 180 gifts, made all over the state, available to holiday shoppers. Founder Lisa Diggs says buying just one gift in Michigan has a big impact on our economy.

The idea being that if you only purchased at least one gift, make a commitment to make one gift Michigan-made,” Diggs said. “All of them would be the best. We’ll take anything, right?”

Diggs says the gifts include clothes, holiday decorations, books, and items celebrating Michigan pride.

The gifts are made all the way from Detroit to the Keweenaw Peninsula.
