If you love beer, you may want to take a trip to Traverse City Beer Week, which started Friday.
There are more than 20 breweries, tap rooms, and cideries in Traverse City, and there’s a full lineup of popular beers and experimental brews. Traverse City Tourism President and CEO Trevor Tkach says you don’t have to love beer to go, though.
“If beer is not your thing, don’t worry,” Tkach said. “We’ve got some wonderful distilleries and wineries as well. The nice thing about this time of year, it’s not quite as busy and so you’ve got an opportunity to move around space and, and maybe have a little bit more intimacy with each of the places you visit. Plus I’ll tell you, it’s never too soon to start thinking about shopping for the holidays.”
You can go to TraverseCityTourism.com to download a digital passport to the area’s breweries that helps you do a self-guided tour.
Traverse City Beer Week runs today through November 16.
