Leonard G Guess, Jr., 77, of Benton Harbor died Thursday, October 10, 2024, at his home.
Services celebrating his life will be held at Noon on Friday, October 18, at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Benton Township where Military Honors will be performed. Relatives and friends may begin calling at 11 AM on Friday at the Fairplain Chapel. Burial will follow in Crystal Springs Cemetery. Please share memories or messages at www.florin.net.
Leonard was born on February 7, 1947, in Chicago, IL. To Leonard, Sr. and Doris Guess. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War in the US Army. Leonard retired in 2001 as a firefighter and inspector from the State of Michigan.
Leonard was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching all types of sports on television. He also liked
photography and enjoyed taking pictures of nature and fishing. He was a family man and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
His family includes his daughters, Dorice (Monteal) Wilcher of Brooklyn Park, MN and Fallon Guess of Newnan, GA.; his son, Juan Guess of Gainesville, GA; his 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
