Detroit Chamber poll explores political division

Have you argued over politics at the dinner table? You’re not alone.

The highly politicized environment of an election year shows in this year’s voter poll from the Detroit Regional Chamber. President Sandy Baruah found there’s a strain on relationships because of politics, but some atmospheres are better than others.

This poll reports that while family and friend relationships have become strained, relationships at work remain positive, and this is certainly something that gratifies the chamber and the business community,” Baruah said.

Another thing that’s polarizing is the future of electric vehicles. Baruah says some see growth, while others are not so optimistic as politics and reluctance to adapt to global trends stifles progress and potential jobs.
