Coming up this Saturday and Sunday is the annual Whirlpool Appliance Sale to benefit the United Way of Southwest Michigan.
All proceeds from the sale will go toward Whirlpool’s yearly United Way campaign, with some sales in past years raising as much as $200,000. Whirlpool’s Gokul Nair tells us this is everyone’s chance to scoop up some new appliances at a low price.
“We basically offer a bunch of Whirlpool products,” Nair said. “Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid. There will be more than 300 appliances and all of them would be brand new, come with a standard one-year warranty, and will be discounted deeply.”
There will be appliances of all sizes available.
“Think dishwashers, refrigerators, ranges, microwave hoods. There would also be small appliances, like stand mixers. There will be blenders, so on and so forth. And then we will also have Gladiator garage products.”
Nair says the discounts are often about 40%, so there ought to be something to interest just about everyone.
Purchases can be delivered to locations within a 15-mile radius for $100. The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday at 211 Hilltop Road in St. Joseph.
The United Way is also looking for volunteers to help out with the sale. You can learn more at UWSM.org.
