The Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance is celebrating 20 years of empowering entrepreneurs. On Thursday, the organization held a celebration event at Sunrise Farms Venue highlighting its core mission of empowering women entrepreneurs along with addressing the growing needs in a sector where women are leading charge.

WBC Director Brandy Jaquez says this is a celebration of supporting a community of entrepreneurs.

“We know that entrepreneurs and small businesses are the lifeblood of any community and especially ours.  We’re very honored that we could be a part of all those journeys and making sure that our community is vibrant.”

During the celebration event, the WBC unveiled its new mission and vision statements, in addition to its six core values. Jaquez says the organization will continue to build a bright future for women in business for another 20 years.

“We are going to be more intentional, and laser focused around empowering female entrepreneurs of diverse backgrounds and helping them gain their financial independence.”

In 2025, the WBC looks to include a new programming plan for Cass County, which is set to offer training and events.
