An Allegan County man is facing charges for allegedly possessing child sexually abusive material.

The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department says the Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children leading to the suspect. State police turned the information over to the sheriff’s department, which began collecting evidence against 33-year-old Casey Allen Letts.

The Lee Township man was arrested this month and charged with 33 felony counts, including criminal sexual conduct, aggravated child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime. He’s accused of receiving and uploading the illegal material to the internet.

Letts was arraigned on September 10 in the 57th District Court in Allegan.
