Veterans are invited to the Berrien County Veterans Services Office Military Veteran Stand Down event Friday in Benton Harbor.
The office says the Veterans Stand Down is a gathering for all veterans to mingle and learn more about the services available to them in the county.
They’ll have live music, food and drinks, military surplus items, free haircuts, self-care workshops, and benefit check-ups. Transportation is available to those veterans who want to attend but will have trouble getting there.
The Veteran Stand Down will be held at Hidden Pointe Park on Nickerson Avenue from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those who attend are reminded to bring their miliary IDs, DD-214, or VA Health Care Card to receive services.
