Fall travel in Michigan is expected to generate billions of dollars in economic activity.

Pure Michigan says fall tourism made us more than $53 billion last year. That number is expected to see a serious boost this year.

Pure Michigan Vice President Kelly Wolgamott says fall travel serves as a time to see Michigan’s top destinations blanketed in beautiful fall colors.

It does provide people to experience Michigan with the beauty of fall colors, but also some of those popular destinations that may, they didn’t get onto their summer bucket list,” Wolgamott said.

Wolgamott says Pure Michigan has launched a fall ad campaign targeting places like Chicago, Cleveland, Minneapolis, and Indianapolis.
