The Berrien County Veteran Services Office is hosting a County Wide Luminary Event in support of the Suicide Prevention Coalition this month.
The office says September is Suicide Awareness Month, and everyone in Berrien County is being invited to secure a luminary for a suggested donation of $5 at any Berrien County American Legion Post, the Berrien County Veteran Services Office, or online.
On Saturday, September 21, the luminaries will be displayed at sunset — that’s 7:45 p.m. — all over the county to symbolize the hope of education and awareness.
The Berrien County Veteran Services Office says suicide can be prevented through education and public awareness, and together, we can all make a difference.
