A 13-year-old and a 16-year-old are charged in a Benton Township shooting this week.
The Benton Township Police Department says officers were called to Corewell Health South on Thursday on a report of a 15-year-old gunshot victim. They learned the shooting that occurred on Council Drive at the Berrien Homes housing complex. The victim was treated and released the same night.
The investigation led to the two teen suspects. The 13-year-old from Benton Harbor and the 16-year-old from Berrien Springs were then brought into custody. Their names are not being released.
