Are you in the market for some property? The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is now holding its surplus land auctions through early September, with the first properties up for grabs in Eaton and Livingston counties.

The DNR’s Michael Michalek told us more.

As we get into next week, we’re going to have properties in the Upper Peninsula and Northern Lower Peninsula, and that’s going to be kind of the theme that you’re going to see until the first week of September,” Michalek said. “So the county auctions are broken up in groups of counties, and they’re one-day auctions that start at 10 in the morning and go to 7 p.m., and they’re all online.”

Michalek says there are some lake frontage and river frontage properties. Go to Michigan.gov/LandForSale for more information.
