Owning property in Northern Michigan doesn’t have to be a dream.
The state is auctioning off land later this summer. Michigan Department of Natural Resources resource specialist Mike Michalek says there are nearly 100 pristine properties up for auction.
“We have about 90 properties,” Michalek said. “They’re kind of all over the state. We have a nice 80-acre parcel in Grand Traverse County. There’s some decent properties in Ogemaw County, Otsego County.”
There’s also a property overlooking Trout Lake in the UP.
The first round of bidding is Friday, August 2. Details can be found online at Michigan.gov/LandForSale.
None of the available properties are in Southwest Michigan.
