President Biden said on Wednesday he’s in it to the end as many Democrats are calling on him to step down from his reelection bid following a disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump.

Congressman Bill Huizenga tells us Biden was so bad in the debate that many are doubting whether he’s capable of serving as president for another four years.

This was not a good situation for the country,” Huizenga said. “I’m not talking Joe Biden and the Democrats. I’m talking about for the country. This was not a good situation, but it’s the reality. And so now Democrats are going to have to figure out what they’re going to do.”

Huizenga says he’s interacted with Biden a few times over the years, and the man on that debate stage was starkly different than the Biden he’s met.

It was stark and frankly, I felt badly for him. I felt badly for his position in life and his accomplishments and his longstanding time that he served in the Senate and then as vice president.”

Huizenga says the matter is complicated for Democrats because under party rules, the only way to replace Biden as the Democratic nominee for president would be for him to drop out of the race.

Names being floated as possible replacements for Biden as the Democratic presidential nominee include California Governor Gavin Newsom, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, and Vice President Kamala Harris.
