UPDATE: Bicentennial Bridge back open

detour-safe

The Michigan Department of Transportation says all lanes of traffic are now back open after problems earlier today with the Bicentennial Bridge in St. Joseph. The issue caused the closure of the bridge for about four hours.

The Michigan Department of Transportation is alerting drivers the Bicentennial Bridge between St. Joseph and Benton Harbor is currently closed to traffic due to a bridge malfunction.

Drivers are advised to use alternative routes until the issue is resolved. No timeline for resolution is available yet from MDOT.
