Taking a road trip over the upcoming Fourth of July? AAA of Michigan’s Adrienne Woodland recommends you get a vehicle inspection since
AAA is expecting to rescue 800,000 stranded drivers over the holiday period.
“You want to have things like your tires checked to make sure that all four tires and your spare tire, if your vehicle has one, are checked out,” Woodland said. “You want to pay special attention to both tire inflation pressure as well as tread depth to make sure your tires are really good to go for the road. You also want to check your battery.”
Woodland says if you do break down, pull off at an exit or as far off the shoulder as you can and remain in your vehicle.
