A motorcyclist is dead following a crash in Allegan County’s Casco Township on Thursday.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department says dispatch received a call about a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck hauling a trailer on Blue Star Highway near 107th Avenue around 2:20 p.m.
Deputies arrived to find the driver of the motorcycle unresponsive. The motorcycle driver was taken to Holland Hospital by South Haven EMS, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The name of the motorcyclist has not been released and the crash remains under investigation.
Police say speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash.
