Cornerstone Alliance President Rob Cleveland is stepping down.
The organization announced Monday Cleveland’s last day will be July 5 after about eight years at the helm. It says during Cleveland’s time with Cornerstone, the organizationhas helped create more than 1,000 new jobs, and more than $215 million in new investment in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties.
Cleveland is leaving to take on a similar position in the south.
Cornerstone Alliance Board of Directors Chair John Janick says the group’s mission is to “lead projects that create new jobs and investment, expand infrastructure, and make the community more attractive to new residents.” He adds Cornerstone has the “support and resources necessary to continue this important work for generations to come.”
Cleveland says he’s worked alongside smart, dedicated people at Cornerstone Alliance, and he thanked them for making the community a better place to live.
Cleveland started with Cornerstone Alliance in October of 2015 after previously working as the director of economic development and community relations for Indiana Michigan Power.
