Ronald Lee Ingle, known affectionately as Ron to his friends and family, left this world too soon on April 28, 2024, due to injuries sustained in an accident. Born on February 11, 1960, in South Bend, Indiana, Ron was a man whose laughter and skills with his hands were as much a part of him as his generous spirit. He passed away in Galien, Michigan, leaving behind a legacy of joy, hard work, and cherished memories.
Ron was the beloved son of Joseph Edward Ingle, who predeceased him, and Helen P. (Derucki) Ingle. His life was enriched by the love and companionship of his wife, Deborah Lee (Seastrom) Ingle, with whom he shared many of life’s adventures. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Jami Johnson and Chris Ingle, who Ron adored. His two grandchildren, Crealynn Johnson and Ismenia Rand, were the light of his life; he cherished every moment spent with them and often said they kept him young at heart.
He is also survived by his caring siblings, Robert Ingle and Rick Ingle, who will remember him not just as a brother, but as a true friend. Ron’s family was the cornerstone of his life, and his actions and love reflected the depth of his commitment to them.
Ron spent his career as a skilled sheet metal fabricator. His work was not just a job but a craft that he honed with pride and precision. Outside of work, Ron was a man of many passions. He loved the great outdoors, spending countless hours hunting and fishing, embracing the peace and excitement that nature offered. Racing was another of Ron’s thrills; the South Bend Motor Speedway was his haven, a place where he could revel in the speed and camaraderie of the track. Ron was also a talented mechanic, often found working on trucks and cars, a pastime that spoke to his practical nature and problem-solving abilities.
Ron’s energy was boundless; he never sat idle and was always busy with a project or adventure, often with a grandchild or two in tow. Ron was truly a one-of-a-kind guy, irreplaceable in the hearts of those who knew him. Quirky and tenderhearted, he never met a stranger. Wherever he went, he made friends, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless individuals with his warmth and sincerity.
Funeral services to honor Ron’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Michiana Christian Embassy in Niles at 11:00 a.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior. Pastor Jeff Whittaker will be officiating.
