The Grand Traverse Pie Company and Pure Michigan have unveiled an exclusive Pure Michigan Fruits of Summer pie.
Mike Busley is co-founder of the Grand Traverse Pie Company and says the pie contains Michigan cherries and blueberries with other Michigan ingredients.
“We’ve actually created a first-of-a-kind flavor fruits of summer pie and we’ve actually changed the box,” Busley said. “It’s this bright blue Pure Michigan themed box so that that special pie is going to be in a special box and offered throughout our network all summer long.”
The partnership between Pure Michigan and the Grand Traverse Pie Company will also spotlight the importance of early childhood development by supporting initiatives ad MI Kids Matter.
Busley says the pie will be available May 6 through September.
