There has been a break in robberies in which crooks targeted Lululemon and Ulta stores along with multi-million dollar homes in Michigan.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel says three people have been arrested and are facing charges related to what she calls “flashmob” thefts at the stores in which more than $200,000 in goods have been taken.

“It’s not just a matter of these businesses writing off these losses,” Nessel said. “Remember, those losses get passed along to the consumer, so this isn’t just a regular criminal law issue, it’s a consumer protection issue.”

Nessel says three other suspects have been tied to break-ins that have been occurring in the Grand Rapids area and in suburban Detroit.

Investigations are ongoing and more arrests are possible.
