The city of St. Joseph’s John and Dede Howard Ice Arena opens for its 27th season Wednesday. The city says Open Skate will be from noon to 6 p.m.
The arena will be closed on Thanksgiving, but then back open on Friday with Open Skate from noon to 8 p.m. There will be hockey there on Saturday from 1 to 2:30 and then Open Skate from 3 to 9, and then more Open Saket Sunday from 1 to 6.
Open skate is $5 per person with skate rentals being $3.
Licks Sweet Treats & Eats Concessions, located inside the ice arena, will be open throughout the weekend with hot cocoa, snacks, ice cream, and more.
Everyone’s invited to come down and do some skating.
