Students at Paw Paw High School on Thursday spent the day learning all about the skilled trades and what kinds of skilled trade opportunities they might have in southwest Michigan.
Paw Paw Public Schools says it was a Schools to Tools mobile field trip brought to the high school aboard a semi-truck and trailer. The touring exhibit features virtual reality and hands-on activities that allow students to envision a career working in the skilled trades.
Schools to Tools says while college after high school is a great decision for a young person, the counseling staff and teachers at Paw Paw High School also encourage students to explore all the alternatives, including the unionized construction skilled trades.
Paw Paw High School students on Thursday took in the exhibit for the entire school day.
