Lincoln Township Clerk Stacy Loar-Porter has been named the chair of the Berrien County Clerks Association. She’ll replace New Buffalo Township Clerk Judy Zabicki as Zabicki is moving away from the area.
Loar-Porter tells us the association is a good way for clerks from all over the county to work together.
“It’s a really good support group for all the clerks in Berrien County,” Loar-Porter said. “I think all the clerks of Berrien County are part of it, and it includes villages, townships, and cities. We all work together. We provide educational events to help us do our jobs better. Just a really good networking opportunity.”
Loar-Porter has been Lincoln Township Clerk since 2008. She has served as chair of the Berrien County Clerks Association once before, and this term will be for two years.
Buchanan City Clerk Kalla Langston was named treasurer of the group to replace Loar-Porter in that role.
