KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship looking for volunteers

The 2024 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship is looking for volunteers.

Championship Director Brandon Haney tells us they need around 1,200 volunteers to put the event on at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor.

“The volunteers are really the engine that makes our championship happen,” Haney said. “We couldn’t put on the events and run a lot of the things we do without them. It’s just a cool opportunity for golf fans or community supporters to come out and be a part of a major championship and one of the community’s largest events.”

Haney says the volunteers do everything from crowd control to player transportation to running the concession stands.

Each volunteer will be granted behind-the-scenes access to the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship and get perks like free breakfast, access to volunteer golf days at Harbor Shores, and a uniform.

Haney notes there are hundreds of volunteers who return to serve every year that the event is in Benton Harbor.

Anyone interested in volunteering can register online.

The 2024 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship is scheduled for May 22 through May 26.
