Tina Papke, 55, of New Buffalo, passed away in her home on Sunday – August 20, 2023. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.
Tina was born on Feb. 11, 1968 in Michigan City, IN to the late Louis and Billie Sue (Scissom) Westphal. She was a graduate of Michigan City Roger’s High School in 1986, and continued her education at PNC receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business and thereafter she also received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Valpo University. Tina was a Registered Nurse for 25 years.
Tina is survived by her husband of over 24 years Patrick; she was a devoted mom to her children – Keagen Papke of New Buffalo and Kaitlyn Papke of South Bend; and a loving Nonnie to her grandchildren – Addilyn, Ryker and Khallen; and siblings – Butch Westphal, Theresa Byers and Jeff (Teri) Westphal all of Michigan City; and several nieces and nephews. Family was always the most important to Tina. She will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place on Friday, September 1, from 1:00pm-4:00pm, at the Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo. The Celebration of Tina’s Life will continue at the New Buffalo American Legion Post from 5:00-8:00pm. Memorial contributions in Tina’s memory may be made to the Michiana Humane Society @ 722 Indiana Highway 212, Michigan City, IN 46360.
