A 19-year-old Niles man has been killed in a single-vehicle crash in Cass County. Michigan State Police say Tabor Lock was the passenger in the car that went off Daily Road near Yankee Street and hit a tree around 11 p.m. Thursday in Jefferson Township. The 20-year-old Edwardsburg man who was driving is at South Bend Memorial Hospital being treated for serious injuries. Troopers say both were buckled up, but say speed and alcohol both appear to have been factors in the wreck. Lock was pronounced dead at the scene.
