After leading Ferris State Football to back-to-back Division 2 national championships, Dowagiac’s Caleb Murphy is headed to the NFL.
While his name wasn’t called on draft day, Murphy was signed to an undrafted free agent deal by the Tennessee Titans following the draft.
Murphy set the single-season college football record with 25 and a half sacks and 29 tackles for loss in 2022, and was the first Division 2 player to ever win the Ted Hendricks Award for best defensive end in all of college football. Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson won the award last year.
Murphy will now compete for a roster spot in the Titans’ training camp.
