The Van Buren County Clerk’s Office announced Tuesday it has launched a new vital record index search website, clerk.vanburencountymi.gov.
The new website provides users with easy access to death records beginning in 1987, marriage records from 1974 and DBA records from 1987. If a user locates a record and requires a certified copy, instructions to purchase will be on the website.
Birth records will not be available because they are not public records, according to a release from the county. Customers can also begin applying for a marriage license on this site before coming into the Clerk’s office to complete the process.
Clerk Suzie Roehm says the new website should streamline the process for county residents and improve access to information.
